Our CCT Venues-Smithfield venue has been fully refurbished and reopened on 20th January 2020. The refurb gave the venue a new trendy and fresh look, whilst celebrating the iconic building it is housed in and the quirkiness that London has to offer.
The venue is comprised of 14 meeting rooms and an inviting open plan lounge and restaurant. Whilst rooms can be hired out separately for a variety of different event types, we are also offering the opportunity for a business to exclusively hire the whole venue to be used as a dedicated training/meeting hub.
All of the meeting rooms contain modern features and technology and benefit from plenty of natural daylight through stunning Grade II listed wrought iron windows, making it the perfect venue for exclusive event hire. The venue is also fully equipped with everything you will need, so all you need to do is turn up and crack on with your work.
The venue is located in a lively area in a unique and fashionable part of London and is very easy to reach. The nearest stations are Farringdon and Barbican, which are only 5 minutes walk away and St Paul’s and Chancery Lane station is 10 minutes away.
Exclusive Hire Case Study
We have worked with GDC since 2007, initially providing overflow space for Hearings which couldn’t be accommodated in their Wimpole Street headquarters. Over the years, we developed a close working relationship, whilst providing a highly tailored venue service.
As we got to know their business, demand from GDC grew, until in 2014 we proposed redesigning and running a bespoke space for them at CCT Venues-Smithfield. This option had not been considered before, but the benefits quickly became clear. As this was a big undertaking, the idea went out to tender, but the service, venue quality and value for money we offered, ensured that we won the contract to provide a complete dedicated venue service.
We worked closely with GDC Senior Management to make design changes to the venue, and we recruited a specialist, dedicated team to run the space. As a result, the contract ran for five years. The onsite support team at CCT Venues remained in place throughout the contract, ensuring delivery of first class service. Over the course of the contract, as well as superb service and facilities, we believe we delivered the client outstanding value for money and considerable savings.
At the end of 2019, the contract came to an end due to GDC’s relocation to Birmingham. Whilst this was the end of an era, we were so excited to be returning CCT Venues-Smithfield to the open market, following the further redesign and refurbishment.
