London Venue with Good Transport Links
Choosing a London venue with good transport links will benefit you and your delegates no end. Events tend to run more smoothly if the venue in question is well connected. At CCT Venues, our London venues have been strategically selected based on location, accessibility and transport links.
City of London Venue with Good Transport Links
CCT Venues–Smithfield is located in the heart of London, in the vibrant area of Farringdon. Farringdon is part of the London borough of Islington and is situated in the middle of Barbican, St. Pauls, Holborn and Clerkenwell.
Closest Stations
Our Smithfield venue has particularly good transport links because it is blessed with three train stations less than 5 minutes’ walk away. These include the new Farringdon Elizabeth Line Station which is a mere a 3-minute walk away, Barbican Underground Station which is a 4-minute walk away and Farringdon Underground and Mainline Station which is a 5-minute walk away. Also, St. Paul’s Underground Station is only a 10-minute walk away. These four stations mean that our Smithfield venue is easily accessible via the Elizabeth Line, Circle Line, Hammersmith & City Line, Metropolitan Line, National Rail Thameslink and Central Line. So no matter where in London you’re travelling from, it won’t be hard to navigate your way onto one of these lines to reach the venue.
Key Transport Hubs
As well as being easily accessible for those travelling in from within London, CCT Venues–Smithfield is ideally located for those travelling in from outside of London too. When you travel into London, you will most likely arrive at either King’s Cross St. Pancras Station, Euston Station or Liverpool Street Station. It takes less than 10 minutes to get to CCT Venues–Smithfield from King’s Cross St. Pancras Station and Liverpool Street Station and less than 20 minutes from Euston Station.
Elizabeth Line
Thanks to the recent opening of the Elizabeth Line, which stretches more than 100km from Reading and Heathrow in the west to Shenfield and Abbey Wood in the east, it’s now easier than ever to get to our Smithfield venue. It also links the venue to key stations such as Paddington (12 minutes away), Tottenham Court Road (7 minutes away) and Canary Wharf (13 minutes away).
Circle, Hammersmith & City and Metropolitan Line
The Hammersmith & City Line stretches from Hammersmith in the west to Barking in the east. As a result, you can get directly to Farringdon Station from key stations such as Baker Street (9 minutes), Euston Square (6 minutes), Mile End (18 minutes) and West Ham (24 minutes) to name a few.
You can use the Circle Line to get to Farringdon Station directly from key stops such as Tower Hill (12 minutes), Monument (14 minutes), Blackfriars (18 minutes), Embankment (22 minutes), Victoria (35 minutes) and South Kensington (34 minutes). However, please note that if you don’t mind changing train line, there may be quicker routes to take to get from these stations to Farringdon Station. For example, it only takes 17 minutes to get from Victoria Station to Farringdon Station if you take the Victoria Line to King’s Cross St. Pancras Station and then change onto the Circle, Hammersmith & City or Metropolitan Line to go the one stop to Farringdon Station.
National Rail Thameslink
National Rail Thameslink runs from Bedford, Luton, St Albans City, Peterborough and Cambridge via central London to Sutton, Orpington, Sevenoaks, Rainham, Horsham and Brighton. This means that you can travel to CCT Venues-Smithfield from any of these places, in most cases, in less than an hour. Plus, you can get to Farringdon Station from Blackfriars Stations in around 8 minutes.
International Attendees
If you’re flying into Gatwick Airport, you can take the National Rail Thameslink directly to Farringdon Station in just 40 minutes. If you’re flying into Heathrow, you can get to Farringdon Station in just 35 minutes via the Elizabeth Line (as of 6th November 2022).
