Meet Georgina Bishop, our Events Executive

Georgina joined CCT Venues in 2022. Here’s what she had to say about working for CCT Venues:

How much experience do you have in the industry?

I have been working in events for 6 years on and off alongside working in theatre as a stage manager.

Why do you enjoy working in the events industry/ what inspired you to work in the events industry in the first place?

What I love is that no two days are the same. Meeting people from all walks of life and seeing people getting enjoyment out of learning new things and attending a multitude of different types of events. What inspired me to work in events to begin with was learning new skills. I felt confident in my knowledge of stage management and felt there was more opportunity by venturing across to event work.

What motivates you in your job?

For me, giving clients the best possible level of customer service to create a welcoming environment is key. If clients feel at ease when they are with us, it makes their experience better and gives me the thrill of knowing I am doing the best I possibly can for them.

What’s different about CCT Venues compared to other venues?

I love the working environment here at CCT Venues. I have fun at work and my mantra is “find a job you love, and you will never work a day in your life”. The team definitely helps this, we all get along so well, and I really like that I can have a laugh with my colleagues whilst still getting the work done. At other companies and roles, it has almost felt like a chore to go to work. Whereas here, I love it, despite the rather long commute!

Final thoughts…

This job means everything to me and has helped me grow in my professional confidence. I feel valued at work which makes it an easy environment to excel in. I will always strive to go above and beyond in everything I do, and no question or request is too complicated as we will always try to make it work.
