London Venue & Catering Awards 2021
We are pleased to announce that we have won the Silver Award for Best Venue Leadership During Covid-19 at the 2021 London Venue & Catering Awards!
The London Venue & Catering Awards recognises and rewards outstanding achievement within London-based venues and catering companies. With thousands of venues based in London, we are honoured to be recognised with a Silver Award for our leadership, and response to the Covid-19 pandemic.
Best Venue Covid-19 Response
As an independent group of four London-based venues, our traditional business consists of hosting corporate meetings and events. In an average year, we host over 150,000+ delegates, but our normal business evaporated during the first lockdown. Rather than battening down the hatches and waiting for the Covid-19 storm to pass, we were determined to continue operating where possible, both for the sake of our loyal, hardworking staff and also to help out with the fight against the pandemic as much as we could.
We had to invest a lot of time and money in order to ensure our venues were deemed Covid-Secure as soon as possible. Our ability to adapt quickly as a company, coupled with the creativity and strong leadership of our management team, contributed to us winning several pieces of business which were instrumental in the fight against Covid-19.
These projects included assisting St John Ambulance with the vital Covid-19 vaccination roll out, facilitating the training of urgently needed paramedics for London Ambulance Service, working with HMCTS to ensure justice was served despite the pandemic, and also continuing to support our local communities where possible.
We believe that these are just some of the reasons why were selected to win an award in this category. It has been an extremely tough year for the industry, so it was lovely to receive some positive news and it has given us the motivation and determination to make next year event better!

“The Senior Management Team took clear, calculated risks to ensure the continued success of the business. It is clear that the leadership team is built on a strong foundation of trust and that has allowed for this strength in difficult times.
CCT Venues showed great resilience and actively looked for opportunities to maintain its business and look after its people. They demonstrated great adaptability of their venues to go above and beyond and provide solutions to enable other industries to continue to move forward and continue their work.
A good plan with good outcomes for a small and focused business. A tireless effort.”

“It’s great to receive this recognition after another tough year in the hospitality sector.
As we work purely in the business sector, it has been particularly challenging during lockdowns and throughout the year as live events were rare. As a business we had to completely reinvent ourselves during this period, repurposing venues, finding new clients and delivering hybrid services in addition to Covid-Safe live events. I am particularly proud of the marketing and sales achievements and the flexibility and resilience of our whole, brilliant team.
We are delighted to have seen many happy clients returning to live events in the past couple of months and we have received some really fantastic feedback. The appetite for live events in 2022 looks strong and we are looking forward to welcoming back many more friends, old and new.”
