Team Building Activities
Are you looking for a London venue that offers team building activities? If so, look no further because we can provide a range of fun team building activities to get your teams bonding and laughing together.
The Covid-19 pandemic and subsequent lockdowns resulted in a lack of face-to-face interaction for many companies and teams for over two years. Some people even joined a new company without actually meeting any of their colleagues or managers in person.
Now that all government restrictions have been lifted and companies have been encouraged to return to the office, lack of face-to face interaction is less of an issue. However, for some people it can be quite hard to jump from being isolated to being sociable again, relationships amongst team members might not feel as strong as they did before the pandemic and employees that joined during the pandemic might feel slightly disconnected from the rest of the team.
Therefore, to make the most of your in-person get-togethers, we have developed a range of team building activities for you to add on to your event, to help your team to break the ice with one another, start building meaningful relationships and to aid socialising and bonding.
Team Building Options
Cocktail Making Challenge
If you’re partial to a drink or two to wind down after a productive day, then our cocktail making challenge will be a hit with you and your team. Put your mixology skills to the test and compete as individuals or small teams to see who is crowned the Cocktail King or Queen!
We’ll provide a few simple guidelines, all of the spirits, mixers, shakers, garnishes and ice, the rest is up to you. To determine the winner, each team/individual will taste the final cocktails, giving them a score out of 10. The cocktail that racks up the highest score will be crowned the winner. If there’s a split vote, our Food & Beverages Manager can step in as an impartial judge.
We can also provide ‘mocktail’ alternatives for any non-drinkers.
Canapé Making Challenge
If you’re more of an eater than a drinker, then our tried and tested canapé making challenge is the one for you. Put your culinary skills to the test and compete as individuals or small teams to see who is crowned the Canapé King or Queen!
Under the guidance of one of our talented chefs, we’ll provide all of the bases, spreads, toppings and garnishes, the rest is up to you. To determine the winner, each team/individual will taste the final canapés, giving them three scores out of 10, based on taste, texture and appearance. The canapé that is awarded the highest score will be crowned the winner. If there’s a split vote, one of our experienced in-house chefs can step in as an impartial judge.
If you’re looking for something a bit different that will truly challenge your team and get their creative juices flowing, then our filmmaking challenge is what you’re after. Put your cameraman hats on and get your directors chairs out and compete as small teams to see who is crowned the next Steven Spielberg! Watch out short video to see the how it works.
Each team will act as a production crew and will be tasked with creating a short film. You can set the brief or you can leave it to us. The production crews will be required to come up with an idea for their film, storyboard the film, shoot the film and edit the film. The films will then be showcased at the end of the day, with the winning film being decided based on a group vote.
We have teamed up with MDA Training, who are experienced filmmakers to facilitate this team building activity. Their experienced delivery team will run the activity and will be on hand to help if anyone needs assistance. They can also step in as an impartial judge if required.
The brief of the film can be anything you want, but it could be something specific to your company, such as exploring current trends in your business or the wider industry, reinforcing the learning from a wider program, exploring organisational values or managing organisational change.
Our filmmaking challenge can be utilised in many ways, such as to re-engage employees and bring teams back together, to support diversity and inclusion initiatives, to add variety to teaching programs, to apply leadership skills in an experiential activity or to enhance a workshop focused on effective communication or time management. We will tailor the activity to ensure it addresses your specific needs, is set in the context of your organisation, and if required, aligned to your leadership standards and behavioural competencies. We can also tailor the duration of the challenge too. Although the challenge works best when everyone is physically together, it can be conducted under a hybrid format if required.
