Meet Jack Grant, our Digital Marketing Manager

Jack Grant joined CCT Venues in 2019. Here’s what he had to say about working for CCT Venues:

How much experience do you have in the industry?

“I have almost 6 years’ experience working in marketing. However, I’ve only worked within the events industry for just over a year.”

Why do you enjoy working in the events industry/ what inspired you to work in the events industry in the first place?

“My previous role was doing marketing for an accountancy firm. Without offending any accountants reading this, it’s not the easiest thing in the world to promote in an exciting way. I was determined to move into a role that I could get my teeth stuck into, be passionate about and actually find interesting (rather than just pretending to be interested in it!). The events industry was a perfect fit for me. Both individuals and businesses book rooms to host events which means I get to focus on both business to business marketing and business to consumer marketing, which can’t be said for a lot of industries.”

What motivates you in your job?

“I truly love working for CCT Venues, so the desire to watch them succeed, grow and improve motivates me, I’m just glad that I get to be a part of it. Also, we regularly refurbish and upgrade our venues, so there’s always something new to talk about which keeps things interesting.”

What’s different about CCT Venues compared to the previous companies you have worked for or other venues?

“CCT Venues is similar in size to the previous companies I have worked for, but their ethos and culture couldn’t be more different. Everyone is treated the same no matter their seniority and I can confidently say that everyone that works here are genuine, friendly and all round good people. My ideas and suggestions are always taken on board and valued and I’m made to feel appreciated every day, rather than just being another cog in the machine. Because everyone here enjoys coming into work, it makes it an extremely welcoming environment for clients and it’s definitely reflected in the treatment and service they receive.”

Final thoughts…

“If you buy a coffee every day it soon adds up. I might be slightly biased, but I prefer our coffee machines to the coffee from Starbucks and it’s made even sweeter by the fact that it’s free and unlimited! We also have all of the coffee syrups to spice things up, my personal favourite is a salted caramel latte… and on that note, I’m off to go and get a top-up.”
