CCT Venues is a high-quality training venue offering excellent service at all levels.

The Evening Cleaner has primary responsibility for the cleanliness of the venue, namely all meeting/training rooms, offices, café and toilets, in this small dynamic business. This will involve working together with the room setter ensuring furniture is clean, cutlery and crockery is washed up, and the venue as a whole is ready for each day as per client requirements.

Specific duties

  • To ensure that the entire venue is cleaned to an extremely high standard. This will involve hands-on involvement working alone or together with a team
  • Responsible for maintaining a clean, tidy and well organised store room
  • To ensure front entrance is clean & tidy, inside & out and that plants are watered regularly
  • All toilets are cleaned and items such as toilet rolls, soap etc are replenished as and when necessary
  • Daily cleaning of offices/reception, meeting rooms and café, which includes emptying bins, wiping tables, dusting down chairs and ensuring all equipment is dust free and floors hoovered
  • All vision panels are wiped clean, door ironmongery polished and skirtings are dust free
  • As and when necessary remove any marks from walls and stains on carpets
  • To observe the venues health & safety procedures. You have a responsibility to work safely at all times and to report any potential hazards, faults or problems to your Line Manager
  • To attend and complete compulsory training as required
  • Other general services as required

Experience & Skill requirements:

  • The individual for this post must have experience working in a similar role;
  • The post holder must be well presented, fit and able bodied and confident with excellent communication skills;
  • Experience in the service sector particularly training and conference would be an advantage;
  • Excellent spoken English is also essential

Remuneration and benefits:

  • Salary £8.00 per hour, minimum 10 hours per week, Monday to Friday
  • Participation in quarterly staff bonus scheme
  • Pro rata to 22 days full time initially (rising by one day per year of service to max 24 days per year pro rata), (at least five days to be taken in August) plus additional days for Xmas closure (usually 2 or 3) and bank holidays

Working Hours:

Hours to be agreed weekly in advance, usually Monday to Friday, between the hours of 4.00pm and 8.00pm.
